My Truck Art Inspired Mugs

Do you remember my short travel stories series on Facebook that I started when I was traveling to Pakistan? If not, you can view it here. I ended my series of Pakistan with a photograph of colourful kettles and mugs that people really liked. I did not get the chance to buy them while I was in Pakistan but I searched for an online shop to order these unique art pieces for myself. I am not a very avid online shopper but I was so in love with these beautifully hand painted mugs inspired by amazing Pakistani Truck Art that I decided to order them online!

A few friends recommended Gul Khan Truck Art  on Facebook and I sent them a message immediately. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised how efficiently and patiently they responded to all my queries (which were many) and helped me in every possible way to make sure that my ordering process is smooth. They sent me the photographs of the designs until I decided what I wanted as I wanted all six mugs to be with a different pattern. Gave suggestions, kept me updated on the progress of my order by sending photographs and then delivered at a friend's address (who I knew was traveling to Malaysia soon) on the date they had promised.

When you are ordering online, having a team address your concerns with care is unbeatable. So, I can give Gul Khan Truck Art full marks for this! My shopping experience was very pleasant and I can recommend them!

I ordered mugs because of the incurable chai addiction that I have but they have a variety of other stuff that you can order as well. The stuff is unique, makes excellent presents if you are looking for a gift for someone especially at year end, and something worth collecting. Kettles, milk pots, bottles, diaries, hoodies, shoes, cushion covers, coasters, trays and what not!

and these amazing trolley bags that I have set my heart on! You can never miss it on a conveyor belt, can you?

Last week, finally my stuff reached me and I have officially fallen in love with them!

Here is my order!

I love the vibrant colours and designs of the mugs. The crudeness of hand painting. The light weight as these are not ceramic but steel enamel that makes them super light. Apart from drinking tea in it, they can be placed on a shelf or showcase for decoration. As pen holder on your office desk or working station. They can also add colour to your kitchen or dinning table if you use it as holder for spoons, forks and ladles.

The use depends on how creative you are! But, these mugs are bound to add colour to where ever they are placed!  I found them very affordable to be given as presents to my friends; especially for non Pakistani friends as these are beautiful, useful and a memorable representation of Pakistan :)

Also, read about my other favourite truck art shop that supplies different kind of work online here.

Happy shopping, guys!

  4. In our country, trucks usually have drab colors. But the richly colored vehicles on the roads are public transportation called Jeepneys. They are usually colorful with designs. But the designs you show here are uniquely Pakistani. Very nice.
